About Us

Core Beliefs

The Word of God

We believe in the Holy Bible, both Old and New Testaments, as the verbally inspired Word of God.  (II Timothy 3:16; I Corinthians 2:13)

The Trinity

We believe in the eternal Godhead, who has revealed Himself as one God existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; distinguishable but indivisible. (Matthew 28:19; II Corinthians 13:14)

The Fall of Man

We believe in the creation, test, and fall of man as reported in Genesis; His total spiritual depravity and inability to attain divine righteousness or redeem himself from sin.

Jesus Christ is Lord

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the savior of men, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, very God and very man. (Luke 1:26-35; John 1:18; Isaiah 7:14, 9:6)

We believe Christ died for our sins; was buried and rose again on the third day, and personally appeared to His disciples. (I Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 4:25)

We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus to heaven, His exaltation and personal, literal, and bodily coming again the second time for the church. (John 14:21,23; I Thessalonians 4:13-18)

Salvation

We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary by which we obtain remission of sins. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12; Romans 5:11)

Water Baptism

We believe in the necessity of water baptism, defined by total immersion, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Eternal Godhead, identifying the believer with the Death, Burial and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:34-39, 10:47-48, 19:1-6)

Baptism in the Holy Spirit

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to salvation, providing enduement of power for life and service, accompanied by speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. (Acts 2:1-4, 8:14-17, 10:44-46; Galatians 3:14-15)

Gifts of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the manifestation of all nine gifts of the Holy Spirit in the local assembly, God dividing the gifts amongst the believers severally as He wills. (I Corinthians 12:1-11)

Communion

We believe in Communion or the Lord’s Supper for believers, established by Jesus Christ our Lord. (Matthew 26:26-30; I Corinthians 11:23-32)

Eternal Life

We believe in the promise of eternal life for all who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and accept Him as their Savior, and eternal condemnation for those who reject Him and die in their sins. (Mark 9:43-48; II Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 20:10-15)

The Great Commission

We believe in the mission of the church, commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ, which is to preach His Gospel to every man, everywhere. (Mark 16:15-18)

Sanctification

We believe in the spirit filled life, a life of separation from sin, no longer serving sin, but serving the Lord with a pure heart, the perfecting of holiness in the fear of God as an expression of the Christian faith. (Ephesians 5:8; II Corinthians 6:14, 7:11)

Sanctity of Life

We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image, and therefore possesses inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other state or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life.  (John 10:10; Psalm 139:13-16)

Biblical Marriage

We believe that the God-ordained and expressly defined marital covenant is a relationship between one man and one woman, joined by God to live together as one (Genesis 2:24; Mark 10:7).
